3 metres or fantastic Van Damme XKE Pro Grade instrument cable and some Neutrik made Rean connectors to give you something you may have no experience with before but could possibly enjoy as an addition to your rig.

What is a silent jack? Well on this cable the silent jack end is the all chrome connector. The yellow banded connector is the opposite end, more on that later. What a silent jack does is it grounds the cables tip to sleeve when disconnected from your instrument. The purpose of this feature is to stop your rig "looking" for a destination. So simply put, when you change instrument that noise, hum, crackling and pop that can come from your rig when your instrument is not plugged in will be silenced.

So, whilst you probably have this already figured out I'll explain how to use the cable. The yellow banded end goes into your input from your instrument. That input could be on your amp, on your pedalboard or on your audio interface...

It is advised that you don't use the silent jack end with anything other than a metal instrument output jack. The gold collar on your instrument end connector of this cable needs to be fully depressed for the cable to work as a cable should. So just keep that in mind, some plastic jacks on pedals and amps do not enable this mechanical switching to occur within the silent jack and thusly your cable won't function correctly. So in short, it's an instrument cable and an instrument cable only.

Grab now for a great price. I have limited these to three cables available for the time being and have no plans to make a main offering again any time soon. A Benchwork special in its truest form.
